封面女郎（The Cover Girls）是活躍於８０年代末／９０年代初期的美國女子Latin Freestyle／舞曲團體

１９８６年, 由音樂製作人／詞曲家Andy "Panda" Tripoli與音樂宣傳者／舞廳老板 Sal Abbatiello在紐約創立

原始組合為三個外表亮麗　身材窈窕的年輕女孩Angel Mercado, Caroline Jackson ,Sunshine Wright

 

 

１０月２８日　封面女郎在獨立廠牌Fever唱片公司旗下發行首支單曲［Show Me］發行, 由Albert Cabrera＆Tony Moran, Dr. Bob Khozouri,Andy Panda創作

The Latin Rascals製作成一首拉丁freestyle／R&B／流行舞曲, 旋律討好, 節拍吸引人

主唱嗓音富感染力。

［Show Me］在舞廳售到歡迎, 登上Billboard副榜－舞曲播放榜＃４　舞曲混音銷售榜＃４

緊接著歌曲送到主流電台宣傳, ［Show Me］打入Billboard單曲榜＃４４（1987年5月）, 停留１８星期

副榜－黑人榜＃３４

 

 

由於在舞曲界前途看好, 讓封面女郎贏得一紙專輯合約, 在１９８７年２月２４日發行首張同名大碟［The Cover Girls］

 

１９８６年１１月底, 出版首張大碟［Show Me］

製作群包括Andy "Panda" Tripoli，"Little" Louie Vega，Robert Clivillés & David Cole，Albert Cabrera & Tony Moran (The Latin Rascals)

走拉丁freestyle, 舞曲與當代R&B樂風, 評價普遍叫好, 被視為freestyle音樂最佳作品之一。

 

１９８７年, 日本偶像歌手森川由加里將［Show Me］翻唱成日語版, 在年底登上Oricon單曲榜冠軍, 讓此曲也在亞洲受到歡迎。

這是封面女郎事業的招牌曲之一。
