１９５４年出生於英國蘇格蘭Mary Sademan原本是個民謠歌手

１９８１年決定進軍流行樂壇

灌錄了〔Japanese Boy〕

並隨手翻電話簿　選了個〔Aneka／阿妮卡〕的藝名

〔Japanese Boy〕融合當時盛行的New Wave風格與迪斯可節奏　配合討巧的旋律

Aneka則模仿日本偶像歌手矯揉的音調詮釋

加上她為配合歌曲　戴著埃及豔后式的假髮　扮成日本藝妓模樣宣傳

結果大賣　在當年８月登上英國冠軍　賣了至少５０萬張(年終＃２２)

這首歌很快紅遍歐陸　拿下瑞士　瑞典　愛爾蘭冠軍　德國＃３　挪威＃４

全歐也登上后座（美國只打入舞曲榜）

全球賣了百萬張以上

但〔日本男孩〕卻沒打進日本榜　據說東洋人覺得Aneka的聲音聽起來太像中文了

可是Aneka的東方形象太過深值人心　反而成為事業發展的阻礙

她改變造型又發行兩首歌曲　卻無法吸引英國歌迷的購買（雖然在歐陸成績不差）

她的首張專輯也沒打入排行榜

１９８３　１９８４Aneka又推出兩首歌曲　市場仍沒反應

被唱片公司解約

Aneka便回復原名　繼續她的民謠事業了

不過〔Japanese Boy〕註定要在台灣成名

１９８３年動感歌手楊美蓮翻成〔過來人〕大紅

成為她事業最有名的代表作

２００５年女子天團SHE又翻成〔對號入座〕　又紅了一次

（〔青蛙王子〕高凌風也曾翻成〔臉紅的時候〕　但非專輯主打所以沒引起注意）

三個版本中　我覺得Aneka的最出色

兩個中文版中　楊美蓮較佳　SHE的vocal太弱  聽得很累
