在發行數首單曲後，１９８８年６月２４日，英國流行樂隊第八奇蹟（Eighth Wonder）推出首張正式大碟［Fearless／無所畏懼］(CBS發行)，

由Richard James Burgess，Mike Chapman，Pete Hammond，Phil Harding，Pet Shop Boys，Alan Shacklock等人製作

雖然樂評平凡，仍登上義大利榜＃７　日本榜＃７　雖然英國專輯榜只有＃４７　

 

 

 

１９８８年６月１８日，英國流行樂隊第八奇蹟推出第六單曲［Cross My Heart"／穿過我的心］

由美國製作人Michael Jay創作

Michael Jay表示，這首歌曲最初是為美國少女藝人瑪蒂卡 (Martika) 創作，

他計劃為她製作，打算將她捧成流行歌星。

可是當時他的出版協議要求其歌曲不能只保留給一位藝人，而是要讓其他歌手一起挑選。

首唱是美國少女歌手Tracie Spencer １９８８年的版本

 

接下來，第八奇蹟的［Cross My Heart］版本發行，由Pete Hammond製作成一首合成流行／流行舞曲，

旋律討好，節奏輕快, 主唱演繹甜美．
