魯弗絲（Rufus）是１９７０年代美國著名R&B／Funk樂團

以擁有寬廣音域的主唱夏卡康（Chaka Khan）而聞名

１９７４年走紅樂壇　唱出不少靈魂／放克名曲

由於康的人氣急速上升　樂團便改名為‘The Rufus＆Chaka Khan／魯弗斯與夏卡康’

不過７０年代中期團體便不和主要是康與鼓手Andre Fischer的緊張關係

１９７８年　夏卡開始個人音樂事業　獲得不錯成績　加深樂團分裂的因素

雪上加霜的是　進入８０年代後　Rufus唱片商業表現反而下滑

 

１９８３年２月　Rufus終於發行最後一張大碟

並隨即舉行演唱會

８月時　發行現場演唱專輯［Stompin’ at the Savoy／重踏薩伏伊戲院］後

Rufus就此分道揚鑣

專輯包含一首錄音室作品［Ain’t Nobody］

在１１月發行為首波主打

這首靈魂放克曲由Rufus鍵盤手David ‘hawk’ Wolinski譜寫

當時正在製作未來大賣專輯［Thriller］的昆西瓊斯（Quincy Jones）想要這首歌給麥可傑克遜

但David ‘hawk’ Wolinski已承諾製作人　要將［Ain’t Nobody］留給Rufus

讓夏卡展現其著名的出色歌喉

果然康將她的靈魂金嗓發揮得零淋漓盡致

［Ain’t Nobody］登上黑人榜后座　成為Rufus第五首冠軍

在流行榜則拿到場２２　舞曲榜＃６

在英國則是他們唯一的Top１０暢銷曲（＃８）

隔年並為Rfus拿下第二作葛萊美最佳R&B雙人組／團體獎

至今被視為靈魂放克經典

 

１９８９年　夏卡康發行舞曲混音專輯［Life Is A Dance］

以［Ain’t Nobody］７吋混音為第二主打　竟再度打進英國＃６

美國舞曲榜則拿到冠軍（以［Life Is A Dance］整張專輯入榜）

由於單曲成功　［Life Is A Dance］也成為康在英國最暢銷專輯（＃１４　金唱片）

［Ain’t Nobody］後來被許多藝人翻唱

其中１９９５年黛安娜金（Diana King）的雷鬼版本拿到英國＃１３（美國＃９５）

１９９６年LL Cool J的饒舌版則登上英國金榜冠軍（美國＃４５）

可見此曲歷久彌新的程度
