岐王宅里尋常見，I used to see you perform often at Qi palace,

崔九堂前幾度聞。and listen to your playing at Cui’s several times.

正是江南好風景，Now in the middle of such a scenic Jiangnan, 

落花時節又逢君。Again we met in this season of falling blossoms.

PS When they first met, Li was a household name in music, while Du was a young, promising poet and official.  After a nationwide turmoil, Li became a busker in Jiangnan, and Du was a poverty-stricken poet.  Both were old and poor.  What Du could say to Li when they met again?
