誰念西風獨自涼，In chilly west wind you must be cold and lonesome,  

蕭蕭黃葉閉疏窗，as drifting autumn leaves shrouded on my window sill.

沉思往事立殘陽。Now how alone am I in nostalgia  beneath the setting sun,

被酒莫驚春睡重    Time was when we took a nap after having some drink,

賭書消得潑茶香，and awoke we read and enjoyed aromatic tea together.

當時只道是尋常。 Why did I then reckon it was just a routine day of life?
