Ode to plum blossom

風雨送春歸，飛雪迎春到。

Spring returns amid windy and rainy days, and it is greeted by snow flakes.

已是懸崖百丈冰，猶有花枝俏。

On the ice-settled canyon, only a handsome flower stands out of her twig. 

俏也不爭春，只把春來報。

She doesnt play the coquette in Spring, just to whisper springtime is arriving.

 待到山花爛漫時，她在叢中笑。

 Until other flowers blossom all over the hill, in clusters she smiles gently still.
