１９８７年夏天　美國實力唱將蘿拉布蘭妮根(Laura Branigan 1957-2004)換了經紀公司　展開事業新方向

在７月推出的〔Touch／接觸〕大碟亦採用一批新製作人

在灌錄完大碟的歌曲後　蘿拉覺得並不滿意

便飛往倫敦與英國著名舞曲製作三人組SAW合作了兩曲

並在６月以後者操刀的〔Shattered Glass／碎玻璃〕為專輯首支主打 

此曲原是１９８０年女歌手Ellie Warren所唱
SAW版改成首電子化的Euro Hi-NRG 流行舞曲

儘管旋律討好　但似乎有點配不上布蘭妮根那寬度高亢的巨肺嗓音 
但蘿拉不愧是實力派藝人 
仍將這首流行舞曲詮釋得非常迷人 
我個人就相當喜歡這首〔Shattered Glass／碎玻璃〕 

只是市場反應似乎沒以前那般理想
此曲在美國流行榜拿到＃４８　舞曲播放榜得到＃１３　舞曲銷售＃１５　成人抒情榜＃２７　 

英國＃７８　丹麥＃６　法國＃６　瑞士＃２６　德國＃４３　澳洲＃６０
顯示蘿拉已開始慢慢下滑的聲勢

Anyway, 〔Shattered Glass〕仍是值得一聽的舞曲佳作
