The skyscraper figure in poetry field :
American poetess Adna V. Millay(八)

I like American poet Adna V. Millay(1896-1950) as poetess rather than playwright, even though many of her lyrical poems are quite appealing to the papular readers.
During her poetry-career life, she has won many kind of poetry awards, but modern imagist poets refuse her to attend their Modernism Movement.
About her reputation(label) as poetess:
1. "America has two great attractions: skyscraper
and the poetry of Adna V. Millay"
--Thamas Hardy--

2. "... the herald of the New Woman"
--Nancy Milford--

I try to understand her poem "Wild Swans"

The main image "Wild Swans" go throughout the whole poem. They symbolize the spiritural freedom which she eagers to obtain after many years of having lived in New York city.
