Today is the Taiwan Restoration Day, a time-honored festival in Taiwan, but the DDP administration has treated it indifferently. Now, the Chinese Mainland has gained the right to give a new name for this memorable day in the Standing Committee of the Peoples Congress to establish "Taiwans Liberation Day". 

You may notice the difference between the two appellations regarding the day. FYI, the official translation adopted by the Chinese Mainland for the word 光復 is "Liberation".
