花間一壺酒，獨酌無相親。

Holding a bottle of good wine among flowers in cluster, I found no company to drink with me.

舉杯邀明月，對影成三人。

Then I raised my cup toward the Moon, asking her to join my shadow and me as a trio. 

月既不解飲，影徒隨我身。

But the Moon wouldn’t drink, and the shadow could only tag along behind me.  

暫伴月將影，行樂須及春。

Just pretended the Moon and my shadow were there, for I mustn’t let no mirth of spring slip away.

我歌月徘徊，我舞影零亂。

The Moon was swaying as I sang loud, my shadow was oscillating as I danced on. 

醒時相交歡，醉后各分散。

Happily getting together, when I was sober; silently drifted apart, when I was drunk.

永結無情游，相期邈云漢。 

Wishing we could forever roam without any restraint, and eventually meet one another in galaxies.
