１９５４年１１月出生於紐約的蘿冰．貝克（Robin Beck）是名美國實力歌手，卻在歐洲成名．

原本是名合音．１９７９年推出首張大碟，但沒受到注意．

１９８８年７月，３３歲半的蘿冰發行單曲〔First Time／第一次〕（Mercury, Metronome唱片發行），

由Gavin Spencer, Tom Anthony, Terry Boyle創作，

Gavin Spencer, Tom Anthony製作成一首流行搖滾抒情曲，

貝克以時而截至，時而激昂的唱腔演繹．

  

〔First Time〕是為可口可樂廣告曲錄製，結果意外大受歡迎，

登上英國單曲榜冠軍──銀唱片（２５萬張＋）（1988年榜#12）

西德冠軍──白金唱片（５０萬張＋）（1989年榜#3）

法國＃４──銀唱片（２５萬張＋）

荷蘭冠軍＋冠軍（1989年榜#67+85），

瑞士冠軍──金唱片（2.5萬張＋）（1989年榜#3），

奧地利冠軍（1989年榜#12），比利時冠軍（1989年榜#39），

挪威冠軍，愛爾蘭冠軍，希臘冠軍，

西班牙亞軍，瑞典冠軍，芬蘭＃３，丹麥＃４，紐西蘭＃４３，澳洲＃１４８，

歐洲榜冠軍（1989年榜#9），全球賣出一百多萬張．讓蘿冰一舉成名．

 

單曲有兩個（完全不同的）專業拍攝的音樂錄影帶。

 

１９８９年，貝克趁勢推出第二張專輯〔Trouble or Nothing／麻煩或無事〕

請來大製作人Desmond Child操刀，但樂評普通．

大碟登上西德專輯榜＃１８，瑞士＃１６，瑞典＃２３． 

２００６年，瑞典電子製作小組防曬乳（Sunblock）重新混音〔First Time〕發行（掛名：Sunblock feat. Robin Beck），

登上英國單曲榜＃９，芬蘭＃６，愛爾蘭＃１０，瑞典＃３２，荷蘭＃４８．

據貝克在２００９年接受採訪時透露，儘管〔First Time〕也在故鄉美國作為單曲發行，並受到《Billboard》雜誌的好評，

但由於水星唱片公司和可口可樂之間的商業政治分歧，不確定要宣傳［First Time］或［Save Up All Your Tears］，倒置它未能進入排行榜。
