２００３年５月, ４９歲半的英國創作歌手安妮．藍妮克絲（Annie Lennox）發行睽違八年第三張個人大碟〔Bare／大毀滅之歌〕（RCA／J Records ）

專輯十一首歌曲皆由她譜寫

製作群包括長合作的Stephen Lipson, Andy Wright與她本人

大碟走流行搖滾, 另類流行, 合成流行,白人靈魂等曲風, 獲得優秀評價

 

首支主打為６月發行的［Pavement Cracks／路面裂縫］

此曲被Stephen Lipson製作成一首合成流行搖滾, 在中板的節奏間, 安妮以她沙啞嗓音溫暖詮釋, 頗有１９８０年代舞韻（Eurythmics）時期風格

由於［Pavement Cracks］只在歐洲當作宣傳主打, 沒有發行商業單曲, 因此無法入排行榜

在美國則推出限量單曲, 並登上副榜──舞曲榜冠軍

巴西電台榜＃３７

不過仍為大碟打了響炮

〔Bare〕登上英國專輯榜＃３　拿到金唱片（１０萬張+）

美國榜＃４──這是她在當地獲得最高名次
