１９９６年　３８歲的美國流行天皇瑪丹娜（Madonna）終於如願主演爭取許久的安德魯洛伊韋伯（Andrew Lloyd Webber）＆提姆萊斯創作的（Tim Rice）音樂劇電影版［Evita／艾薇塔／阿根廷, 別為我哭泣］的角色伊娃裴隆（Eva Peron）

電影在國際有良好票房　評價也算不錯

瑪丹娜也拿到金球獎音樂劇／喜劇類女主角, 演技受到肯定（雖然與奧斯卡女主角提名失之交臂）

由於電影賣座　連帶瑪丹娜主導的雙CD原聲帶［Evita］（Warner Bros.出版）也在世界排行榜創下佳績 登上美國榜亞軍　英國榜冠軍　歐洲榜冠軍　全球賣出八百萬組

 

首支主打［You Must Love Me］商業成績中上（美國＃１８／金唱片, 英國＃１０　歐洲＃２９）, 但樂評良好, 讓娜姐演唱的歌曲二度拿到奧斯卡＋金球獎最佳原創歌曲

第二主打是［Evita］［Don’t Cry For Me Argentina／阿根廷別為我哭泣］更是成功　

英國＃３　德國榜＃３　法國冠軍　西班牙冠軍　幾乎打入各國排行榜Top１０

１９９７年３月, 華納公司在歐洲推出第三主打［Another Suitcase in Another Hall／另一座大廳的另一個行李］

在音樂劇中, 此曲出現於伊娃將丈夫情婦趕出去後, 後者對未來感到惶恐, 但安慰自己一切會變好

１９７７年由英國蘇格蘭歌手Barbara Dickson先灌錄發行, 登上英國單曲榜＃１８

在電影版中, ［Another Suitcase in Another Hall］卻變成伊娃的自述, 描述她為了謀生掙扎, 除了當舞女餬口, 還要歷經一次次工作面試的失望。

瑪丹娜版由安德魯洛伊韋伯／Nigel Wrigh／導演亞倫派克（Alan Parker）製作

就個人聽過［Another Suitcase in Another Hall］版本中, 瑪丹娜的詮釋是最出色的

記得觀賞［Evita／阿根廷, 別為我哭泣］電影時, 筆者就深深為［Another Suitcase in Another Hall］感動, 至今仍是［艾薇塔］中個人最喜歡的歌曲
