Ma and KMT tried hard to dissuade Lian Zhan and other retired generals from attending the ceremony of 93 parade which will be held in Beijing on the third day of September, the V-J day, which has been long prescribed by KMT government as Soldiers' Day.  So why didn't Ma and his administration feel like let Mr. Lien and other patriots go? 

The ostensible reasons they claimed were it is ROC, not PRC, that led Chinese people to fight against Japan and won the war at last, and they always charged CCP of making little contribution towards fighting Japanese during the war; instead, it was busy expanding its own turf while KMT troop sacrificing on battlefields.  I admit it was mainly KMT's troop who took the responsiblity of resisting Japan, though not successfully.  But it is not justifiable to accuse CCP of doing nothing but just taking care its own business.  Let me ask you a simple question: from whom CCP liberated so many people and so much lands during the war?  From Japanese and surrendered KMT armies, of course.  The larger lands and population CCP liberated, the more imminent threat would imposed upon Japan for sure, which would have lessened the pressure from KMT's front.  Therefore, either KMT or CCP has its contribution to the final victory, which belongs to all Chinese poeple.  Thus, why don't islanders allow those who are invited to attend the ceremony unless they don't recognize themselves as Chinese people. 

Obviously, Ma and his administration are too timid to celebrate such a memorable occasion in Taiwan, lest they should infuriate their masters, Japan and America.  Besides, they are too stupid to ingratiate themselves with Green Camp for not to sting those "Japanese losers".  Why they are stupid?  Because they have been always trying, but to no avail at all, to ingratiate themselves with a band of ungrateful islanders.  So stupid.
