我強烈推薦這本書給任何想要了解電腦能為我們社會貢獻什麼的人。

說明: 中文裡表達「介紹某本書」時不能用*introduce a book，而要用recommend a book，句型可用「recommend + 書 + to + 人」。上句中strongly recommend也可代換成highly recommend(高度推薦)或heartily recommend(衷心推薦)。

另外，也可用被動語態來表達如下:

This book is highly recommended to our profession in applied fields of petroleum, natural gas, and environmental science.

高度推薦這本書給我們在石油、天然氣和環境科學的實務專業領域。

2. The authors recommend a consciousness-raising approach for all ITA training programs.

  作者為所有的國際學生助訓練教計畫建議一種提升意識的方法。

Recommend後若接動詞，要改成動名詞。

例句:

Ø recommend + that clause

    Recommend後若接that子句，該子句內的動詞要用原形或「should + 原形」。其它與recommend相同用法的字彙都是表「建議」、「要求」、「命令」、「堅持」、「決定」，例如suggest, propose, ask, require, request, order, insist, decide等。

例句:

1. Clifford recommends that the teaching of grammar skills be included in the foreign language curriculum.

Clifford建議在外語課程中加入文法技能教學。

2. Most linguists recommend that illiterate adults should achieve basic reading and writing skills in their own language before attempting to master them in English.

多數語言學家建議成人文盲應先學會母語的讀寫技能，再來嘗試學習英文的讀寫技能。
