As they work together studying sacred murals and historical artifacts, mysterious signs begin to suggest that their encounter may not be accidental. Elder monks believe they are the reincarnations of King Songtsen Gampo and Princess Wencheng, destined to reunite in this lifetime to fulfill a mission left unfinished centuries ago.

Standing between Huaimin and his destined love is Tang Mengying, his childhood companion and fiancée.
