轉眼之間 白雪遮晴空
In no time snowflakes envelope blue skies and sun
寒風襲嚴冬
Frigid wind blows as severe winter marches in
莫待櫻花盛開春來
Dont wait until spring when cheery blossoms flower again
再踏雪尋芳蹤
It would be too late to find her then.

歌詞最後四句本來應該是
轉眼之間白雪遮晴空 寒風襲嚴冬
也踏雪尋芳蹤 莫待櫻花盛開春來但為了押韻，作詞者把最後兩句對調成
莫待櫻花盛開春來 也踏雪尋芳蹤

I suppose that "再踏雪尋芳蹤" is an intention which becomes impossible to achieve if one waits until "櫻花盛開春來". The English translation is obviously more straightforward.
Another possibility is that when "櫻花盛開春來", the snow has not completely thawed yet. Snow in the early spring is the third likely possibility.
Nothing is impossible, especially to a songwriter. LOL
I know sometimes the poem or pure literatures are trying to convey the cravings for the wishes that are impossible to be realized in reality. They serve as a process of spiritual purge, or catharsis. Retiredbum 於 2014/10/29 23:58回覆 -
