初疑夜雨忽朝晴，The night rain had become morning sun
乃是山泉終夜鳴。It was the sound of a mountain spring.
流到前溪無半語，Which silently flew into the flat stream
在山做得許多聲。 But it was sonorous while in the mountains.
PS. The poem is a satire, insinuating that politicians who speak loudly often become silent once in office.
