少小離家老大回，

I left home young, now returned as my age got up.

鄉音無改鬢毛衰。

My accent remained unchanged, but little thin on top.

兒童相見不相識，

All kids regarded me as a stanger, when met me,

笑問客從何處來。

so they smiled, " where are you from, Pop?"

PS A college classmate of mine told me the other day that he saw this popular poem inscrbed on a slate set in some park of Nankang county.  Maybe there are other poems can be found in the park, too.  Good job, Taipei!
