由他個人自寫　自編　自製

融合後迪斯可　放克　搖滾　新浪潮等樂

獲得高度評價（滾石雜誌在１９８１年給與４顆半星　２００４年改為五顆星）

被譽為是８０年代最傑出的大碟之一（名列滾石雜誌５００張最偉大專輯）　

專輯共推出三首單曲　雖然沒打入流行榜

但在黑人榜　舞曲榜拿到佳績　也讓大碟在美國拿到金唱片

此外尚有一首並沒推出正式實體　卻有一定名氣的宣傳歌單曲〔When You Were Mine／當妳屬於我時〕

這首R&B／新浪潮歌曲節奏活潑　王子以他特別的假音詮釋

據聞這是他在欣賞約翰藍儂音樂時得到靈感所創作

〔When You Were Mine〕後來有推出１２吋的宣傳版

爾後又收錄在單曲〔Controversy〕B面

王子時常在演唱會表演此曲

加上後來被許多藝人翻唱（包括較知名版本──１９８３年的搞怪歌手辛蒂蘿波（Cyndi Lauper））
