１９８８年　愛爾蘭創作歌手恩雅（Enya）以第二張大碟［Watermark／水標］與單曲［Orinoco Flow］(UK#1)一砲而紅　成為新世紀音樂界的指標人物

１９９１年秋天　３０歲的她發行第三張專輯［Shepherd Moon／牧羊人之月］

反應更為熱烈　登上英國榜冠軍（四白金）　全球賣出一千多萬張（包括美國五百多萬張）

奠定她新世紀音樂女王的地位

首支單曲登上英國榜＃１３　愛爾蘭＃８

１９９１年底　恩雅推出第二主打［How Can I Keep from Singing／我如何能停止歌唱］

這是美國基督浸信會牧師Robert Wadsworth Lowry所寫的基督讚美詩　１８６８年首度出版

但在２０世紀前半葉並不盛行

Doris Plenn在１９５０年修改一些歌詞

１９６０年代民謠復興活動時　歌手Peter Seeger灌錄此曲　讓這首讚美詩再度廣為人知

恩雅翻唱的便是這版本

此曲仍由Nick Ryan製作　在簡單的背景樂聲中　恩雅以她天使般的純淨嗓音緩緩唱出這首讚美詩

沒有太多的技巧　卻讓人有種彷彿天籟般的錯覺
