１９５７年，２４歲的香港影壇紅星葛蘭（張玉芳）推出單曲［我要你的愛］（百代唱片發行）

這是改編自美國黑人歌手Louis Jordan 於1953年演唱的跳躍藍調歌曲〈I Want You to Be My Baby／我要你做我寶貝〉

姚敏改寫中文歌詞，以中英文雙語歌詞為特色，以漸進式歌詞強化感情張力，並利用英文段落形成對話式表達，表達主動追求愛情的企圖，

［我要你的愛］被製作成一首爵士／搖擺樂，融合西方音樂元素，節拍活潑搖擺，大樂隊的伴奏活力十足．

葛蘭的渾厚嗓音以俏皮方式，搭配精神抖擻的男性和聲，交織出這首熱情的旋律．

［我要你的愛］廣受歡迎，後來被眾多歌手翻唱，成為華語流行歌曲的經典之一．

２００５年，EMI唱片推出百代百年系列，便以［我要你的愛］為葛蘭精選輯名稱．
