由王子本人譜寫／製作成一首流行／放克（funk）

鍵盤的勾音是一種奇特的鴨子般的聲音。這是 王子首張包含 Eric Leeds 薩克斯風演奏的官方單曲。

歌詞提到與［Under Cherry Moon］的克里斯托福和瑪麗相似的角色，雖然電影中沒有看到他們的動作。

 

王子的前鼓手Bobby Z. 後來說，這首歌可能幫助整張專輯和電影取得更大的成功，他說：

“第二首單曲有時不太合適……［Kiss］徹底轟動，為專輯奠定巨大的基礎。

在我看來，它應該是［Girls & Boys］，而不是［Mountains］。
