雪ニモ夏ノ暑サニモマケヌ
也不怕冰雪和夏天的炙熱
Fear no chilling snow and hot summer, either.
丈夫ナカラダヲモチ
保有健壯康的身體
Keep good health
慾ハナク
沒有貪念
No greed inside
決シテ瞋ラズ
絕不生氣
Never vex
イツモシヅカニワラッテヰル
總帶著冷靜的微笑
Always wear clam smiles
一日ニ玄米四合ト
每天吃四合的糙米
Be well fed with sufficient rice every day
味噌ト少シノ野菜ヲタベ
一點點味噌和青菜
A little bit of miso and vegetables
アラユルコトヲ
不管遭遇任何事
Whatever happens ahead
ジブンヲカンジョウニ入レズニ
先別固執己見
Never dwell on your own stubborn mind
ヨクミキキシワカリ
仔細聽看瞭解
Listen, watch and understand thoughtfully
ソシテワスレズ
然後謹記在心不要忘記
Then, bear it in mind and never forget
野原ノ松ノ林ノ蔭ノ
在原野松林的樹蔭中
In the tree shades of pine land
小サナ萱ブキノ小屋ニヰテ
有我棲身的茅草小屋
There is a small hut where I live
東ニ病気ノコドモアレバ
東邊若有生病的孩童
If there are sick children in the east
行ッテ看病シテヤリ
就去照顧他
Go taking care of them
西ニツカレタ母アレバ
西方若有疲憊的母親
If there are crocked mothers
行ッテソノ稲ノ束ヲ負ヒ
就幫他扛背稻桿
Help them carry rice straws
南ニ死ニソウナ人アレバ
南邊若有人快去世的人
If there are people dying in the south
行ッテコハガラナクテモイゝトイヒ
安慰他：不要害怕
Comfort them:Fear not!
北ニケンクワヤソショウガアレバ
北方若有人吵架
If there people quarreling in the north
ツマラナイカラヤメロトイヒ
跟他們說：別這麼無聊了！
Tell them: Do not be so boring!

旱災時 憂慮流淚
Worry with tears when drought
サムサノナツハオロオロアルキ
夏季時卻寒流來襲 不安操勞
Upset exertion when cold chill striking in summer
ミンナニデクノボートヨバレ
大家說我像個傻子
Everyone says I am a nerd!

我不要別人的稱讚
I ask for no admiration from others

也無須他人的擔憂
