胡椒木在路邊開花~~~
正確名稱應該是漆樹~~~
輕輕揉著葉片有股胡椒味道~~~
葉片表層有著亮亮的蠟光~~~
花椒屬常綠或落葉灌木，原產日本小笠原群島、琉球等地之高位珊瑚石灰岩濱海地區。樹高0.5~2m，天然樹型圓形。對生奇數羽狀複葉，複葉長4~5cm，小葉3~9對；小葉圓形，長約0.5cm，葉面光滑有明顯腺點，葉軸有翼，搓揉葉片有濃郁氣味。葉基有小刺。雌雄異株，開花期夏季，雌花紅色、雄花黃綠色花朵微小，較無觀賞價值。球形果實直徑0.3cm。
適合全日照環境，日照不足株形鬆散。耐貧瘠及潮風吹拂，適合濱海地區種植。根系不耐積水，栽培介質需排水良好，介質乾才澆水。天然樹形均整，一般不需要修剪，或僅定期修剪較長的枝梢以促進分枝，使葉叢更茂密。繁殖使用扦插法。
鰭花椒在花市訛稱為胡椒木，植物學中胡椒木是指漆樹科的胡椒木Schinus 屬植物，因為該屬植物的果實風味與胡椒類似。而鰭花椒與常見作為香料的花椒是同屬植物，因此名稱不宜與胡椒混淆。
