吏舍跼終年，Office days confined me whole year long;

出郊曠清曙。bracing morning led me to the outdoors. 

楊柳散和風，Verdant willows dangling in zephyr;

青山澹吾慮。green mountains cleansing my mind. 

依叢適自憩，Leaning against brushes I felt relaxed;

緣澗還復去。roaming around brooks I went aimlessly.

微雨靄芳原，Misty drizzle brought petrichor to wildness;

春鳩鳴何處。singing doves broke the silence of nature.

樂幽心屢止，My heart kept yearning for the tranquility, but

遵事跡猶遽。uncertain jobs inhibited me from settling down.

終罷斯結廬，Eventually I will build myself a cottage here,

慕陶直可庶。to enjoy the enviable life of those hermits.
