2021年5月新冠疫情進入三級警戒，那時我買了八盆仙人掌，在防疫生活中，一草一木都成了小確幸。 

 

一年多的防疫日子裡，我養的仙人掌與多肉植物十分賞臉，花開爛漫、賞心悅目。我捕捉它們的美好畫面並將特色一一記錄下來，與朋友們分享。 

 

猶記得當年養仙人掌時，一門心思全在「開花」上──從挑選標的(會開什麼花)、到時時關注花苞變化，花開那一刻總令我瘋狂，迷戀痴傻，無以復加。

 

進入第三年後，我只養些莖葉柔軟的多肉植物，不追求特殊品種，也不再花大錢，只搭配賞心悅目的花器，依然養眼。深感某些小品生命力旺盛，折下小莖條插入專用土中，不過兩日就鮮活了起來。觀賞它們的成長與變化，哪天意外開花，更是生活裡的驚喜。 

 

如今陽台上的多肉植物也愈來愈少，藦蘿科的「小花犀角」是碩果僅存的幾株之一。起初我並不特別喜愛小花犀角，只因它外觀宛若無刺的迷你仙人掌，便將它當作「組合盆」中的配角，用來為多肉組盆增色。

 

從未料到小花犀角會開花。某天，它冒出幾個花苞，其中一個愈長愈大，出乎意料地壯觀。眼看就要綻放了，偏偏那周末回娘家陪媽媽，錯過了親眼目睹的機會。所幸陸續又開了數朵，每朵花徑約十公分，帶給我連連驚喜。

 

「藦蘿科」植物種類繁多，多數蘿藦花朵綻放時，宛如海星，因此被戲稱為「海星花」。小堂妹特別鍾情於藦蘿科，她說那是一種「收集星星」的概念。

 

話說這款「小花犀角」只有初綻時花朵形如海星，大約三小時後，海星的角開始捲曲，到了第三天整朵花便凋萎，結束短暫而絢麗的花期。
