這三句的意思相同，大意是說：「人生苦短，別為小事抓狂。」Life is too short to be small.

還有個類似的句子則是出自 Paris Hilton 的愛美宣言，Paris Hilton 說：
Dress cute wherever you go, life is too short to blend in.
大意是說：「不管到哪兒都要打扮得漂漂亮亮；人生苦短，何苦委屈自己去從眾。」筆者對於穿著是否漂亮沒有什麼感覺，倒是後面的這句 Life is too short to blend in，讓筆者覺得 Paris Hilton 還蠻有個性的，儘管她的許多作為不是那麼地正面。
對筆者而言，Life is too short to blend in 這句話的含意算是一把雙面刃，它含有正反面的意義，因為若能將「人生苦短，要把握生命做自己，不要委屈自己去從眾。」的哲學拿捏得當，它具有正面意義，但如果做到太過火，則它會讓人走火入魔。
