優美的民謠旋律　精緻的電子背景配樂　古典的主題
加上其優雅空靈的形象　讓她特出於眾家歌手之間
成為歌壇少見的氣質派歌者
恩雅的父親是歌舞秀團長　母親是業餘工作者
１９７６年她與手足與幾位叔伯父成立了民謠／新世紀樂團克蘭納德（Clannad）
１９８２年單飛　開始與製作人Nicky Ryan 詞曲作家 Roma　Ryan夫婦合作
１９８６年推出首張作品—BBC電視紀錄片〔The Celts〕的配樂
但沒引起多少注意
不過１９８８年的專輯〔Watermark／水印〕與英國冠軍〔Orinocon Flow〕卻意外讓恩雅走紅

以前我就很喜歡藉恩雅的歌曲來幫助入眠

總覺得她的音樂可以沈澱人心　讓人反省諸己
