至於書名的‘Dolls’並非真實娃娃, 而是鎮靜劑型毒品的俚稱
電影主題曲［Theme from（Valley of Dolls）］由美籍德國猶太裔揮家Andre Previn與詞曲家妻子Dory Previn合寫
電影女主角之一的Barbara Parkins建議由黑人歌壇紅星狄安華薇克（Dionne Warwick）演唱
著名音樂人Burt Bacharach&Hal David將其製作成一首流行味濃厚的流行抒情曲
歌曲有兩個歌詞版 一個在電影片頭 一個在片尾
由於當時狄昂隸屬Scepter唱片公司
因合約之故 無法出現在原聲帶專輯 只能在電影上獻聲
由於電影賣座 １９６７年秋天發行的［Theme from（Valley of Dolls）］受到歡迎
在１９６８年初登上美國告示榜亞軍
成為百萬金唱片
這是到當時為止２７歲的華薇克最暢銷單曲（＋R&B榜＃１３, Easy Listening亞軍）
