1. furtively
Definition: expressive of stealth; done by stealth
Example: He cast a furtive glance in our direction.
2. indebtedness
Definition: something (as an amount of money) that is owed
Example: His total indebtedness exceeded a year's income.
3. inexorably
Definition: not to be persuaded, moved, or stopped
Example: The inexorable rise of a political movement.
4. drift
Definition: the act of driving something along
Example: The slow drift of the clouds.
5. autocracy
Definition: government in which one person possesses unlimited power
Example: The Magna Carta is historically important because it signified the British rejection of autocracy and constituted the first formal restraining of the power of the monarch.
6. trudge
Definition: to walk with slow heavy steps, especially because you are tired or it is difficult to walk.
