I. Story Synopsis

After entering elementary school, Yu Renjie frequently involuntarily made strange sounds in class, disrupting the teacher’s lessons, causing headaches for school staff, and leading classmates to mistakenly think he was a troublemaker seeking attention. His classmates often deliberately provoked him or ganged up to bully him, and even his father, Yu Dawei, misunderstood him as a source of trouble. Yu’s mother, Huang Meihong, feeling distressed that her son was being treated inhumanely, took him to see doctors and was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, a condition not currently curable with medication.

One day, three boys in the class, including Ye Daxiong, were bullying Renjie in a corner of the playground. Physical education teacher Pan Tieren discovered it and stopped them in time. Daxiong and the others were punished by Pan. Holding a grudge, Daxiong sought a chance to exact revenge on Renjie. The next day, he took advantage of PE class to sneak back under the pretext of using the restroom, took the class funds from the bag of the class treasurer Zhang Jiazhen, and planted it in Renjie’s backpack, framing him as the thief. Renjie was accused of theft and subjected to stern interrogation by homeroom teacher Wu Xiaorong. Wu Xiaorong called Renjie’s mother, Meihong, to the school. Renjie, unable to defend himself, filled with grief and anger, ran to the restroom and drank hydrochloric acid. He was discovered in time by Dean Luo from the Discipline Office and sent to the hospital. Wu Xiaorong and Pan Tieren investigated together and discovered that the missing class funds were taken by Ye Daxiong; the truth was revealed. However, Renjie’s vocal cords were injured, leaving him permanently mute. Yu Dawei was extremely dissatisfied with the school’s handling and blamed his wife Meihong, leading to a marital separation.

Renjie was actually exceptionally intelligent. With his mother’s careful guidance and accompaniment, he not only achieved results in learning musical instruments but also qualified for a high school gifted class, providing some comfort to his father, Dawei. Renjie’s musical talent was recognized by music teacher Chai Yuqing, and he joined the school band together with Jiang Muya, whose singing was sweet and melodic. Renjie fell in love with Muya at first sight, but Muya liked the handsome and upright band leader Wu Yuetian. Renjie did not dare confess his feelings to Muya and silently became her confidant, listening to her recount how she was troubled by Yuetian, who was favored by women.

During a public performance by the band, Muya’s chronic epilepsy suddenly flared on stage. Yuetian coldly watched and even showed disdain. Renjie, in pain, allowed Muya to bite the back of his hand until she regained consciousness. Feeling compassion for Muya, Renjie changed his initial plan and decided to apply to medical school to become a doctor in order to cure her illness. Muya, deeply infatuated with Yuetian, was repeatedly hurt by him, and Renjie was always there to accompany and support her.

When university recommendation results were announced, Renjie achieved full marks. Muya accompanied him to the medical school interview. Having lost his voice, Renjie faced questioning from the exam professors. Muya, using her own chronic condition as an example, earnestly persuaded the committee, allowing Renjie to be successfully admitted as a medical student. Muya began pursuing her dream, participating in the “Celebrity Singer Rankings” competition and gradually gaining recognition. Renjie, aware of Muya’s dreams, could only give his blessings.

Renjie, often alone, shut himself off emotionally and became a lone figure on campus. Kind-hearted, he spent time after school playing the violin at a home for vegetative patients. His good deeds became known at school, catching the attention of junior student Shen Tingting, who took the initiative to approach him. Their relationship gradually warmed. Meanwhile, Muya, in the singing competition, defeated Yuetian and other rivals with outstanding skill. Yuetian invited Muya to sign a contract and record an album together. However, Yuetian’s live-in partner, Jin Meiren, mistakenly thought Muya and Yuetian were rekindling a past romance and intervened. Yuetian and Meiren argued, leading Yuetian to be expelled from the house. He sought solace with Muya, who, moved by his plight, allowed him to stay overnight. That night, they were intimate. The next morning, Yuetian silently left to return to his girlfriend Meiren. A disappointed Muya awoke from her reverie.

Shaken by this, Muya went to a nightclub to drown her sorrows and was drugged with ill intent, being carried out of the venue. At that moment, Renjie happened by, saw her in danger, fought off the group of men, and brought her to safety. Renjie sustained minor injuries. Muya supported him back to his residence, where she saw a songbook on the piano stand, filled with songs Renjie had written for her. Muya realized that she had been the one Renjie cared for all these years, and she was deeply moved. They became intimate.

Muya left a note for Renjie, explaining that their fate had ended, and went alone to Taitung to teach music at the secluded Hongye Elementary School. Her colleague, Wa Gang, who also loved singing, had seen Muya on a singing competition show and admired her talent, secretly harboring feelings for her. Soon, Muya discovered she was experiencing morning sickness, suspected she was pregnant, and confirmed it at a hospital. Not wanting her child to grow up without a father, she changed her mind and returned to Taipei to find Renjie at the NTU male dormitory, only to find him deeply in love with Shen Tingting. Seeing Renjie with a new partner, Muya did not want to disrupt his stable relationship and quietly left for Taitung.

As her pregnancy progressed, Muya’s colleagues became suspicious. She gave birth to a son, Jiang Sijie, who was cherished by Wa Gang. Six years later, Sijie entered kindergarten and, inheriting Renjie’s Tourette Syndrome, got into fights and disputes with classmates, causing Muya considerable distress. By this time, Renjie had become a resident doctor. Muya decided to move back to Taipei with Sijie to seek help from Renjie. At the hospital, Renjie discovered that Sijie also had Tourette Syndrome. Under questioning, Muya revealed the truth. Their unusual interactions drew suspicion from nearby nurses. Feeling responsible, Renjie, unwilling to leave the child without a father, secretly accompanied Muya and Sijie under the pretext of rural medical rounds, regardless of his relationship with Tingting. Tingting, overhearing from a duty nurse, sensed Renjie’s intention to reunite with Muya, feeling threatened. After returning to the dormitory, Tingting confronted Renjie. Unable to evade, Renjie admitted he wanted to care for Muya and her child, deeply impacting Tingting.

Muya fainted in front of her son, Sijie, who called 119 for an ambulance to take her to NTU Hospital. 119 notified Renjie to proceed to the emergency room. Tingting followed and witnessed Muya in the hospital bed. From X-ray images, she learned that Muya had a malignant tumor deep in her brain, and even with surgery, her survival rate was low.

Renjie informed Muya of her condition and tried to persuade her to undergo surgery, but Muya, knowing her time was limited, declined and requested only that Renjie accompany her through the rest of her life. Renjie received Tingting’s understanding and support. They accompanied Muya and her son on a trip, watching the sunrise at Taimali Beach in Taitung and going on a whale-watching tour by yacht arranged by Wa Gang. On the yacht, Muya entrusted Tingting to care for Sijie.

Before passing away, Muya’s parents were notified and arrived to see her one last time. Muya’s final wish was for Sijie to return to his father, Renjie. At Muya’s funeral, old friend Wa Gang performed several songs Muya had loved during her life at the memorial hall. Renjie, mute for years, suddenly cried out, vowing to reunite with Muya in the next life, startling attendees and deeply moving them with the power of love.

Story Outline

Yu Renjie, an attractive and gentle-looking boy, has since childhood involuntary vocal tics and sudden facial muscle contortions, diagnosed as Tourette Syndrome. His mother, Huang Meihong, consulted numerous renowned doctors, all confirming that this condition currently cannot be cured by medication. Only drugs for ADHD or bipolar disorder can temporarily alleviate symptoms but have long-term side effects. One day, Meihong took Renjie shopping in the underground mall and encountered a father-daughter street performance duo. The blind father played the violin, and the daughter played the flute. Their touching melody deeply attracted Renjie, who became completely relaxed and calm.

As a high school teacher, Meihong decided to let Renjie learn music, hoping that musical training could ease and manage his symptoms. However, whenever Renjie’s emotions became tense, his old symptoms would flare up.

During Renjie’s upbringing, school teachers and other adults, including his father Dawei, mistook his involuntary sounds and movements as attention-seeking or misbehavior, treating him as hyperactive. He was often teased and mocked by other children, which led him to become introverted and socially withdrawn.

One day, classmates Ye Daxiong and two others bullied Renjie in a playground corner. PE group leader Pan Tieren discovered and stopped them. Thinking Renjie was injured, he punished Daxiong and the others, provoking Daxiong’s resentment. He decided to steal class funds and frame Renjie. The next day, claiming a stomachache during PE, Daxiong excused himself to go to the restroom, snuck back to the classroom, took the class funds from treasurer Zhang Jiazhen’s bag, and planted them in Renjie’s bag, leaving obvious traces to be discovered immediately.

The missing class funds were reported to homeroom teacher Wu Xiaorong. Teacher Lin searched all students’ desks and bags. Renjie voluntarily took the money from his bag but was falsely accused by Daxiong as the thief, unable to defend himself. Lin took Renjie to the office for a stern interrogation. When Renjie refused to speak, Lin declared she would call Renjie’s mother to the school. Humiliated and angry, Renjie hid in the restroom after class and put a mouthful of toilet hydrochloric acid in his mouth, attempting self-harm to prove his innocence.

Meihong was notified and rushed to the school. Discipline director Luo Shijie and student affairs leader Lin Jingyi found Renjie foaming at the mouth with a bottle of toilet acid nearby. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Classmates learned the incident from Teacher Lin. Ye Daxiong and the others, burdened by conscience, confessed under investigation by Director Luo and Teacher Pan that they framed Renjie. They had intended to “teach him a lesson” to stop the tics but did not anticipate his extreme self-harm response. Renjie survived but lost his voice due to vocal cord injury. Principal Zhong Zhilong accompanied him to the hospital and promised to investigate the administrative negligence. Yu Dawei was furious at the school’s failure, threatening to sue, but was restrained by Meihong. Dawei blamed Meihong for not properly caring for Renjie, and the couple separated.

After being discharged, Renjie lived with Meihong, who transferred him to her parental home and personally tutored him daily. Renjie, exceptionally bright, studied diligently to avoid disappointing his mother and successfully entered the high school gifted class. Dawei drove to pick him up and buy gifts as rewards. Renjie excelled in academics, particularly in math and science, and in music—violin, piano, and songwriting—earning recognition from music teacher Chai Yuqing.

Recommended by Chai Yuqing, Renjie joined the school “Youth Suite” band as a keyboardist. Jiang Muya, a mixed-race beauty with a sweet, clear voice, was chosen as the female lead singer. Guitarist Wu Yuetian, handsome and charismatic, was the band leader and male lead singer. Muya was infatuated with Yuetian and often practiced with him…

Miss Jin Meiren, a wealthy young lady, possessed an elegant temperament and sweet appearance, and was universally recognized as the campus belle. Jin Meiren had feelings for Wu Yuetian and actively offered support to his band. Yuetian maneuvered between Jin and Jiang Meiya, showing a sometimes warm, sometimes cold attitude toward Meiya, leaving her emotionally confused and infatuated. Meiya occasionally confided in Renjie about her affection for Yuetian and complained about his popularity with women, treating Renjie as a brother she could confide in. Although Renjie fell in love with Meiya at first sight, his introverted and taciturn nature meant he could only secretly admire and protect her, never daring to confess.

However, when God created beautiful things, He always inadvertently left some flaws. Meiya suffered from epilepsy, which had previously been well controlled with medication and rarely manifested. After entering high school, she stopped taking her medication and remained symptom-free for six months; no abnormalities were observed during band rehearsals. It was not until the first official club performance night, when Meiya and Yuetian were singing a duet, that she suddenly had an epileptic seizure. The band members were immediately thrown into confusion. Instructor Chai Yuqing directed the members to handle the emergency, but Yuetian watched coldly with a look of disgust. Renjie, however, endured the pain and allowed Meiya to bite down on the back of his hand until her convulsions and spasms subsided, leaving two bloodied teeth marks on his hand.

After regaining consciousness, Meiya looked at Yuetian, who maintained a cold, displeased expression, and tears involuntarily welled up in her eyes.

Meiya’s seizure deeply pained Renjie and changed his original plan to apply to a university music program. He resolved to instead apply to medical school, study medicine, and be able to take care of Meiya in the future. He discussed this plan with Instructor Yuqing, who, though regretful, understood and supported Renjie’s decision. After Meiya’s seizure, Yuetian’s attitude toward her changed drastically; he became cold, yet he and Jin Meiren were frequently seen together. Meiya felt deeply hurt, grew melancholic, and her seizures became more frequent. Renjie carefully accompanied Meiya, coaxing her to resume medication.

Meiya’s father, the film director Jiang Kefeng, believed that Meiya should no longer endure epilepsy or the unusual stares of classmates and strongly advocated taking her back to California, USA, for comprehensive treatment. But Meiya, having no friends at school in the United States, did not want to interrupt her studies to go abroad for treatment at that time.

One day, on Film Street, Meiya saw Yuetian holding Jin Meiren at the entrance of a cinema while buying tickets. This triggered Meiya’s emotions, causing another seizure and drawing the attention of passersby. Coincidentally, Renjie was riding his bicycle nearby. Seeing the situation, he rushed through the crowd, supported Meiya, and immediately administered aid, enduring pain while letting Meiya bite down on the back of his hand. Meiya glared at Yuetian, who was intimately holding Jin Meiren. Yuetian saw Meiya but deliberately ignored her, further wounding her emotionally during her seizure. Passersby applauded Renjie. When he carried Meiya, they noticed the teeth marks on both of his hands and curiously asked about them. Meiya explained that the marks were from her previous seizures, and the crowd praised Renjie.

A passerby recorded a short video of the incident and posted it online. Renjie was labeled the “Devoted Pain-Enduring Guy.” The post went viral, attracting media attention. Through online sleuthing, reporters traced Renjie to his school, but the low-profile Renjie refused interviews, though the incident already caused a sensation among all students.

Reporters compiled a news story based on the online posts. Vivian accidentally saw the news on television and, learning about the incident from her daughter Meiya, personally took Meiya to Renjie’s home to express gratitude. Meihong, hearing the story from Vivian, later asked Renjie, who revealed his secret love for Meiya. Meiya, however, was unaware and already had her own romantic interest. Feeling sorry for her devoted son, Meihong advised him to let go and focus on preparing for university entrance exams.

At the high school graduation ceremony, the “Youth Dance” band delivered a high-level performance, receiving thunderous applause. Senior students including Wu Yuetian retired gracefully. Meiya, finding the campus unappealing without Yuetian, decided to return to the United States with her mother for epilepsy treatment. She bid farewell to Instructor Chai Yuqing and deliberately kept her decision hidden from Renjie. Their conversation was overheard by Renjie, leaving him deeply disappointed.

One year later, when the university entrance exam results were released, Renjie achieved a perfect score of 75. Meiya, having completed treatment, returned to Taiwan. To repay Renjie for all he had done, she accompanied him to the interview for the National Taiwan University (NTU) Medical School. Renjie, being mute, faced skepticism and tough questioning from the interviewers. Meiya shared her personal experience with epilepsy to convince the interviewers. After the exam, they walked together across the NTU campus. Renjie asked whether Meiya intended to return to school, and she revealed her plan to devote herself entirely to her singing career. Renjie respected her decision.

Upon entering NTU Medical School, Renjie initially appeared like a lone goose, solitary and withdrawn. He closed off his emotions and focused solely on his studies. His classmates nicknamed him “The Priest,” and some even suspected he was homosexual. At night, Renjie worked part-time as a pianist at a folk-style Western restaurant near the school. Meiya entered the preliminary round of the “Singing Celebrity Ranking” and unexpectedly encountered Wu Yuetian at the venue. Meiya, in her debut performance, won the weekly championship with Renjie’s original song “Blue Tears,” while Yuetian came second. Both advanced to the monthly semi-finals. Yuetian’s live-in girlfriend, Jin Meiren, worried that old feelings might resurface, sternly warned Yuetian, leading to a heated argument.

Meiya’s victory was watched by Renjie in the school cafeteria via live broadcast, silently blessing her in his heart. The song “Blue Tears” drew the curiosity of two junior classmates, Tang Wanyu and Shen Tingting. Wanyu recalled hearing the pianist perform this song at a nearby restaurant, prompting the two to investigate. Disguised as “Conan,” they visited the restaurant and confirmed the pianist was from their medical school. Through inquiries, they learned the pianist was second-year medical student Yu Renjie, nicknamed “The Priest,” often seen studying in the library. They found him at the library, and while he stepped away, they examined his notes and discovered a handwritten songbook, confirming he was the composer of “Blue Tears.”

Visiting the restaurant to hear Renjie play confirmed their discovery. Shen Tingting discerned emotional undertones in his lyrics, deducing he had experienced heartbreak. Remembering the news coverage of “Devoted Pain-Enduring Guy” from two years prior, she investigated Renjie’s past. Tingting, moved by compassion, initiated contact and subtly advised him not to dwell on the past. Renjie, however, was unwilling to discuss it, speaking vaguely. Tingting then contented herself with becoming Renjie’s close female friend.

Renjie quit his restaurant job and spent free time playing violin for patients in a vegetative state at a care hospital. His kindness was recorded by a nurse and posted online. Reporters attempted to interview him, but Renjie declined. Interviews with the department head publicized the story, impressing both faculty and students, and Renjie became a prominent figure in the department.

Shen Tingting proactively showed affection toward Renjie, but he regarded her only as a good friend, responding indifferently. Tingting assumed this was due to his self-consciousness about Tourette’s syndrome. Tingting invited Renjie to perform at a nursing home. Talented at mimicking various singers, she performed popular songs with the patients and staff, energizing the atmosphere and earning Renjie’s approval.

The school held a campus folk song competition. Tingting wished to participate, and Renjie agreed to accompany her on piano. During rehearsal, when Tingting sang “Blue Tears,” even the first two lines strongly affected Renjie, as her voice closely resembled Meiya’s. Initially suspecting imitation, Renjie questioned her in sign language. After Tingting explained and sang naturally, Renjie realized Tingting’s voice was similar but distinct, and he was reassured. After rehearsal, walking on campus, Tingting held Renjie’s hand. He accepted her gesture, seeing her as a substitute for Meiya, and their relationship officially became romantic. Tingting’s roommate, Tang Wanyu, advised her against pursuing a mute senior, but Tingting resolutely defended Renjie.

Meiya, through talent and skill, defeated all competitors, winning the overall championship and impressing Yuetian. Yuetian invited Meiya to a record company to record an album together. His live-in girlfriend Jin Meiren discovered this, suspected him of revisiting old feelings, and argued fiercely. Yuetian was thrown out of the house. After drinking, he called Meiya, who softened and took him in. They spent the night together. The next morning, Yuetian left without notice, returning to Jin Meiren, revealing his manipulative intentions. Meiya realized the betrayal and felt awakened from a dream.

Alone, Meiya went to a nightclub to drink and unwind, attracting the attention of several delinquent men who spiked her drink. Intoxicated, she left the club, and they attempted to abduct her. In the struggle at the club entrance, Renjie happened to pass by in his car, saw her in danger, and intervened. During the fight, to escape, he brandished a surgical knife, injuring one assailant, and was punched himself, leaving his face bruised. They fled the scene together.

Meiya helped Renjie back to his residence and tended to his injuries. She noticed the songbook on the piano and read the lyrics, realizing she had been Renjie’s cherished one all these years. She confessed her night with Yuetian, unwilling to deceive Renjie. Renjie, loving and pitying Meiya, gifted her the songbook. That night, Meiya stayed over; under the influence of medication, she initiated intimacy with Renjie, and they consummated their relationship.

The next morning, Meiya left a note explaining that their intimacy the previous night did not obligate Renjie, as their fate had ended. She planned to retreat to a secluded life. Her departure left Renjie heartbroken. Meiya returned home, leaving a letter for her parents stating she was traveling to relax, then took a train alone to Taitung to teach music at Hongye Elementary School.

At the campus folk song competition, Tingting sang “In the Next Life, I Wish to Be Your Household,” passionately and sweetly, earning audience applause and attracting talent scouts. After the contest, scouts approached Tingting about a recording contract, but she insisted singing was merely a hobby and she had no plans for an entertainment career.

Shortly after, Meiya discovered she was pregnant. Calculating the conception date, she realized Renjie was likely the father. To ensure the unborn child would have full paternal love, she decided to set aside her pride. She went to Renjie’s dorm to inform him but saw Tingting returning arm in arm with him. She abandoned her plan and resolved to return to Taitung to give birth and raise the child independently.

Meiya, teaching music at school, was kind and well-loved by staff and students. However, colleagues noticed her growing belly and, seeing no husband or boyfriend, quietly speculated, though no one dared ask her directly. Nine months later, during the winter break, Meiya went into labor at the school staff dormitory. The school nurse assisted the birth, and Wagang helped prepare infant supplies. Meiya named her son Jiang Sijie, and the school approved…

The physical education teacher, Wagang, possessed a naturally beautiful singing voice. He had watched Muya participate in the “Celebrity Singing Rankings” talent show and had also heard her play and sing several original songs on the organ, with melodies and lyrics that were very touching. Wagang, moved from pity to love, secretly admired Muya and often used the excuse of delivering milk powder and diapers to Muya to casually chat with her. However, whenever Wagang inquired about the child’s biological father, Muya would immediately and alertly change the subject. Wagang instinctively sensed that Muya must have a past that was unpleasant.

As little Sijie gradually grew older, six years later he reached school age. In kindergarten, Jiang Sijie surprisingly exhibited Tourette syndrome symptoms similar to Renjie’s, and even got into fights with classmates over toys. This caused Muya considerable headache, and she began to consider whether she should seek out Renjie for assistance, after all, the child was Renjie’s own flesh and blood, and Renjie himself had also experienced a long period of illness.

Renjie and Tingting both graduated from the medical school in sequence and obtained their medical licenses. They both worked as specialist doctors in the same large teaching hospital, maintaining a stable relationship. Renjie’s approach to treating epilepsy was quite exceptional, and a journalist interviewed him. Muya saw the long-unseen Renjie on TV and realized that Renjie had worked hard to become an authority on epilepsy in order to cure her chronic condition, which showed that Renjie still cared about her in his heart.

Muya brought Sijie to the hospital for treatment, deliberately scheduling an appointment during Renjie’s shift to seek his help. In the consultation room, the three of them met. Under Renjie’s persistent questioning, Muya finally revealed that Sijie was his biological child. Their unusual interaction aroused the suspicion of the nearby nurse, Xiaofen. Renjie felt deeply indebted to Muya and her son, unwilling to let the child drift in the world. Despite having already reached discussions of marriage with Tingting, he decided to take responsibility for Muya and her son as a husband and father.

After Muya and her son appeared, Renjie’s attitude toward Tingting began to change. He started making excuses to go on medical tours in remote areas, and during his days off he would disappear, arousing Tingting’s deep suspicion. One day, during a day off, Renjie drove out to accompany Muya and her son. Tingting learned hints from the on-duty nurse Xiaofen and instinctively felt that Renjie wanted to reunite with Muya, feeling threatened in her heart. Tingting tracked Renjie using a satellite locator, drove to follow him to the Tamsui seaside, and saw Renjie playing with the child on the beach, interacting sweetly with Muya. Tingting, heartbroken, wept and left quietly. After Renjie returned to his dorm, Tingting confronted him sharply. Renjie could not resist and admitted that he wanted to take care of Muya and her son, which deeply shocked Tingting.

Muya felt unwell and fainted in front of her son Sijie. Sijie dialed 119, requesting an ambulance to take his mother Muya to National Taiwan University Hospital, and 119 also notified Renjie to proceed to the emergency department. Tingting followed and witnessed Muya on the hospital bed, and retrieved Muya’s X-rays from the radiology room, discovering that Muya had a malignant tumor deep in her brain. Even if surgery were performed, the survival probability was not high.

Renjie truthfully explained the condition to Muya and earnestly tried to persuade her to undergo surgery. However, Muya, knowing her remaining days were few, lacked the courage to gamble with fate and politely refused Renjie’s arrangement, only asking him to accompany her through the rest of her life. Renjie gained Tingting’s understanding and support. The two accompanied Muya and her son on a trip, watching the sunrise at the Taimali seaside in Taitung, and, arranged by Wagang, took a yacht out to sea to observe whales and dolphins. On the yacht, Muya entrusted Tingting with the care of her son, and Tingting promised to look after Renjie and his son.

Before Muya’s death, her parents received the notice and rushed to the hospital to visit their already dying daughter, Muya, and saw their grandson Sijie. Vivian, holding her daughter Muya, could not help but cry loudly, while Jiang Kefeng also wept copiously. Muya’s dying wish instructed her parents to let Sijie return to his father Renjie’s side. The elderly couple reluctantly agreed.

On the day of Muya’s funeral, Wagang sang several of Muya’s favorite songs at the memorial hall. Muya seemed to sense it; upon hearing Wagang’s mournful voice, two tears even streamed from the corners of her eyes. Renjie, mute for many years, in the moment before relatives and friends closed Muya’s coffin, hoarsely called out to the last glance of Muya: “Jiang Muya… in the next life, I will still love you…” The relatives and friends present were shocked, and all were genuinely moved by the tragic fate of this devoted couple, whose love was deep but fate was shallow. Tingting, holding Renjie and his son, wept uncontrollably, no longer able to distinguish whether her feelings at that moment were love or pity… (End)
