After an F-16V/AM missing in the radar monitor during its nocturnal training the other night, a guy pen-named 靠北長官 published his comments online, pouring out his vitriol against the defects of that "upgraded" aircraft. With grief and indignation, he said the last recourse for our pilots to continue taking off is their "忠肝義膽". He also disclosed that over a hundred trainees in the air force, who lack the kind of loyalty and grit, would seek early retirement this year.
I know little about the mechanics of aircraft, but I must ask why we should seek confrontation across the strait. Do we have to sacrifice our young lives to pursue an unreachable goal? Do we have no other peaceful ways to resort to? It is only in one thought!
PS. Our fighters could be just like "flying coffins" when confronting their future rivals. Maybe the air conflict between India and Pakistan last year is a telltale clue.
