風吹一片葉    The cluster of leaves blew; 

萬物已驚秋。 lives sensed the autumn approaching.

獨夜他鄉淚， Tears dropped away from home; 

年年為客愁。 again the traveler was lamenting.

別離何處盡， When would the parting end, 

搖落幾時休。  and the leaves stop shedding?  

不及磻溪叟，  The old angler by river,

身閑長自由。  could I be like him?
