The match was between the Chinese player Wen Ruibo (溫瑞博) and the Japanese player Harimoto (張本智和, a Chinese-Japanese) in the mens semifinal of the Chongqing Open. The final scores of the set extended to 21-19, a marathon-like table tennis game, and Wen won the match 4-2.
