龍作為姓氏，如reaizuguo所言，是該用普通漢語拼音long。
當用英文指說的是龍圖騰時，就最好以專有拼法Loong，我覺得挺好。
Loong, 帶兩個o, 好像一對眼睛，有象形的趣味。

There is no reason and it is not justified to deviate from the correct hanyupinyin "Long".
Consistency is one of the great strengths of Hanyupinyin.
