Yesterday I happened to watch the movie on TV.  The storyline of the movie is to illustrate the relationship between an undertaker and a poor little orphan girl.  They dislike each other in the first place but finally they developed an affinity like a father and a daughter.  The director, drama writer, and the actors all provide a great performance to me, and I hope to you as well.

The English name of the movie is "Lighting up the sky".  Why does it adopt this title which seems irrelevant to its Chinese name?  Because, I think, the undertaker and the little girl finally realize the only thing they are hoping their loved ones could become bright stars lighting up the sky, leading the way for the bereaved on the earth.

PS The story takes place somewhere in Sichuan; maybe it is Chengdu.  The male lead has a funny female given name, and I wonder why.  According to my wife and her brother, it is somewhat a customary practice that people of Sichuan call a man 妹 or 姊, and a woman 哥 or 爺.  They said my mother-in-law, also from Sichuan, was called 三爺 by her next-of-kins.
