With my long-aspiring heart, now I came back to Mt Jinggang.
Looking forward a trip down memory lane after travelling a thousand Li, I found the old place had totally changed:
chirping orioles, hovering swallows, gurgling streams, and winding pathes up to the clouds.
Slippery slopes were everywhere till I reached Huangyang outpost.
Tempests howling and thunders rumbling amid the red flags flying, that had been our past lives.
Thirty-eight year elapsed, it had been just like in a trice.
Let us keep on embracing the heart of reaching for stars to face our enemies; triumph shall always be ours.
As the old saying goes: where there is a will, there is a way!
PS My translation on this famous verse was inspired by our fellow blogger, Mr Reaizuguo* from his posting at http://classic-blog.udn.com/azhg/154771033
