Olivia de Havilland, one of the greatest actresses of Hollywood history, died yesterday at 104.
Though she is also a two-time Oscar best actress winner in other films, people remember her mostly must be from that brave, kind, almost flawless role, Melanie, she played in that immortal "Gone With The Wind" of 1939. (Think of it; she was only 23 then, and all of other actors and actresses in the film passed away at least half a century ago.) The role Melanie has since become the dream wife-to-be for most of the men, and I am one of them.
Her sister Joan Fortaine is also my favorite star(http://blog.udn.com/kkuo0810/128193625); regretfully, the sisters are in deep discord with each other throughout their lives. I do not know why, but I am sorry for them.
Rest in peace, Olivia!
