花蓮登山有感

定觀青山喜揚眉，

靜眺碧海樂陶醉。

青山見我頭已白，

碧海知我心未灰。

頭白不須慚形穢，

心灰可能漸頹廢。

且把華髪當繁花，

更由志業結智慧。

Feeling of Hualian Mountaineering

Looking around the green mountains

my head was delighted.

Looking around the blue ocean

my heart was intoxicated.

Green mountains looking at my head

which was whitened.

The blue ocean knowing my heart

was not degenerated.

When our heads are white,

should not be abashed.

When our hearts wilt,

life will be withered.

Let us see our white hair

as beautiful blossoms,

and let our vital hearts

yield bountiful wisdoms.
