由艾維斯卡斯特洛與保羅麥卡尼 (Paul McCartney) 共同創作，

講述一位患有嚴重記憶喪失的老婦人的故事。

卡斯特洛的創作靈感來自他患有阿茲海默症的祖母。在接受 VH1 採訪時，卡斯特洛談到這首歌時，回憶起他的祖母曾有過“令人恐懼的清醒時刻”，而這正是［Veronica］的創作靈感來源。

事實上，她的天主教堅信禮名Veronica正是這首歌的歌名。

 T-Bone Burnett 和 Kevin Killen 共同製作成一首流行搖滾／巴洛克流行／叮噹流行（Jangle pop），

節奏輕快，旋律琅琅上口，麥卡尼也演奏他標誌性的 Höfner 貝斯。
