１９７１年，２８歲半的前成員保羅麥卡尼（Paul McCartney）推出樂團解散後個人首支單曲［Another Day／另一天］（Apple唱片發行）

由麥卡尼主要創作，不過他將妻子琳達（Linda McCartney）列為這首歌的共同詞曲作者，引發ATV音樂公司代表北方歌曲出版社（Northern Songs）和麥克倫音樂出版社（Maclen Music）提起法律訴訟。

歌詞以觀察式的風格描繪一位孤獨女性的日常生活，與麥卡尼在1966年創作的民謠《Eleanor Rigby》中的敘事手法相似。

 

保羅麥卡尼 將其製作成一首民謠搖滾／流行曲，

編曲簡潔，保羅以恬淡的唱腔娓娓演繹．

然而，許多樂評人對這首歌不屑一顧，認為它無關緊要，認為這首歌展現麥卡尼的資產階級情懷和保守價值觀。
