英國作曲家［亞伯特．柯特比］──輕古典音樂──《In the Mystic Land of Egypt／埃及神秘之地》

 

 

《In the Mystic Land of Egypt／埃及神秘之地》是英國作曲家亞伯特柯特比（Albert Ketèlbey）1931 年為管弦樂和可選聲樂創作的輕古典音樂。

作品於同年由博斯沃斯出版，同樣有鋼琴版本。

 

柯特比根據其 1920 年《In a Persian Market／在波斯市場》的成功模式創作了這首作品。

兩部作品都以進行曲開始，隨後是浪漫的旋律，並包括歌唱。

《埃及神秘之地》由Bosworth於 1931 年出版，有管弦樂團和鋼琴版本。

 

 

這是D小調和2/4 t拍的作品被標記為 Con moto（quasi marcia準瑪西亞）。

作曲家的場景摘要提到，第一批土著士兵穿過一個村莊，隨後尼羅河上的一艘船上傳來了輕柔的歌聲。

一名阿拉伯人吹奏管子，然後管弦樂團重複這首歌，最後返回的士兵也重複這首歌。

 

作曲家為男高音或高男中音演奏這首歌、由士兵組成的男聲合唱團（或四重奏）以及包括薩克斯風、班卓琴、曼陀林和馬林巴琴的“色彩繽紛”的管弦樂隊為這部作品配樂。

在表演中，人聲常被樂器取代。

 

一開始就引入下降半音階的主題，在整個作品中重複出現在旋律和和聲中，最後倒置。

這種統一的元素被稱為「一種有吸引力的音樂手段，儘管不是埃及的」。
