１９８０年３月，王子推出大碟第三單曲［Still Waiting／還在等待］

這是他第一首以單曲形式發行的抒情曲．

由王子譜寫，歌詞從一個渴望愛情但尚未找到愛人的年輕人角度出發。

王子編曲並製作成一首R&B抒情曲，風格相對傳統，

在以鋼琴、原聲吉他和合成器的樂聲中，王子以假音溫柔地演繹．

 

［Still Waiting／還在等待］並沒打入Billboard單曲榜, 但在副榜－黑人榜登上＃６５。

 

美國歌手Rainy Davis 於１９８７年翻唱。她的版本作為單曲發行，在副榜－黑人榜登上＃４１．

 

英國女子團體 Dorothy 於１９８８年翻唱此曲，在英國單曲榜上拿到＃８１。
