１９７８年成立於墨爾本的工作者（Men at Work）是１９８０年代澳大利亞五人搖滾樂團．

１９８０年推出首支單曲，無疾而終．

１９８１年初，Men at Work與哥倫比亞唱片簽約．

  

１９８１年５月，Men at Work 在澳大利亞推出單曲［Who Can It Be Now?／會是誰呢?］

由Colin Hay創作，Peter McIan製造成一首新浪潮／流行搖滾，

旋律琅琅上口，在中板的節奏間，主唱詮釋平實但引人入勝．

［Who Can It Be Now?］登上澳洲單曲榜亞軍（年度：1982#9），銷售５萬張，取得金唱片，讓Men at Work一舉成名,在家鄉打出名氣．

 

１９８２年５月，Men at Work以［Who Can It Be Now?］進軍美國，結果大受歡迎，登上告示牌單曲榜冠軍（年度：1982#30）．讓樂團走紅國際．

另拿到副榜──主流搖滾榜＃４６，舞曲榜＃３３．

［Business as Usual／照常營業］在１９８１年１２月起登上澳大利亞專輯榜冠軍，長達九週．

取得４白金（２０萬張），成為１９８２年澳洲最暢銷專輯．（年度:1981#93,1982#1,1983#12）

 

１９８２年末登上美國告示牌專輯榜冠軍，蟬聯１５週，至１９８３年初．

成為１９８３年終專輯榜亞軍．

取得６白金唱片(600萬張+)
