此曲由辛蒂,Stephen Broughton Lunt ,Jeff Bova合寫

據聞這是她為一名死於AIDS的朋友所寫

歌名來自Eugene Field 的詩作“Little Boy Blue＂

羅波並將歌曲銷售金額捐給愛滋病機構

這是首中板的當代流行搖滾　由羅波與Lennie Petze擔任製作　

辛蒂的演繹多元有層次

 

為了促銷歌曲　唱片公司製作了７吋唱片混音為單曲版　

加重節拍　強調辛蒂的嗓音　增加商業潛力

但［Boy Blue］只登上美國Billboard單曲榜＃７１　這是羅波成名以來首支未創造佳績的主打
