１９７８年　美國靈魂／放克樂團魯弗斯＆夏卡（Rufus featuring Chaka）的主唱決定離開團體單飛, 但發現合約尚有兩張專輯義務,只能履行

一張是［Masterjam］

一張是１９８１年１０月推出的第十張大碟［Camouflagae／偽裝］

專輯由Rufus製作

由於當時團員關係緊張　康寧願先錄製個人歌聲, 之後再讓其他團員配上樂器聲響

只是大碟發行後, 評價並不佳

首支主打是［Better Together］

由Rufus團員Tony Maiden與歌手Lalomie Washburb譜寫

這是首後迪斯可風格的靈魂／放克曲

節拍輕快, 合聲豐厚飽滿

只是大眾反應並不理想  並沒打入美國單曲榜

副榜──靈魂榜也只拿到＃６６　舞曲榜＃５６

由於兩首單曲成績不佳, 導致［Camouflagae］只登上美國專輯榜＃９８

成為魯弗斯成名後首張團員囊括夏卡康卻沒有拿到金唱片的大碟（先前兩張沒康加入的專輯也失敗）

這也是夏卡最後一次參與魯弗斯的錄音室大碟

１９８３年發完另一張沒康的［Seal in Red］後, 加上康的演唱會大碟［Stompin' at the Savoy – Live］後

樂團便宣告解散
