On yesterday's ChinaTimes there was an article written by a so-called "strategist" who suggests there should be a Sino-American "Agreement on the Premanent Neutralized Status of Taiwan" in order to safegurad a stable future for Taiwan.  The author emphasizes China's Mainland should not seek to sign a peace agreement with China's Taiwan; instead, she should seek to sign an agreement with United States to gurantee the neutralized status of Taiwan, under One China Principle, so as not to give any excuse to US., or even Japan, in interfering Taiwan's affair.

The author argues in so doing Taiwan's status will be transformed from a factor of "conflict formula" to a factor of "peace formula".  He also claims that placing too much stress on sovereignty has been an anachronistic concept, and he exhorts China's Mainland to give up the idea of "making trouble" in Taiwan Strait; otherwise, the fruit of achievement out of "reform and open" in last thirty years would be ruined and China would go back to the "original point". (If not back to the stone age.)  Who the heck the author think he is as to urge China to abandon Taiwan and threaten her with war if she fails to do so? 

I estimate that in ten years US. will no longer dare to interfere whatever China's action towards Taiwan.  China's Mainland can just wait, but not so Taiwan.  That's why those Dutai advocates hasten to propose such a blatant attempt against final unification.  Let me tell you guys a simple fact that the sovereignty over Taiwan is absolutely inseparable from a whole China!
