The Pilgrim's Progress is a dream-vision allegory,a proto-novel,and a remarkable instance of vivid and dramatic prose.The allegory is a simplification of post-Calvinist theology.The Pilgrim is Christian ( he and his beliefs make an interesting contrast with Everyman of the medieval morality play).    Intent, humorless, horrified of sinners and earthly pleas-ures,fanatical about Popery and the Church of Rome, he leaves his wife and children at the outset and proceeds along the road of life to save his his soul and reach the Celestial City.

A cut-off time of 10 s was maintained at 55°C to prevent tissue damage.  The reaction time was checked at 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 min, respectively.
